Dawgs Drop Game 2 to USSSA Pride

Dawgs had a late start with the bats, only scoring in the 7th inning off a hit from Nerissa Myers.
The game went scoreless until Chelsea Goodacre delivered a solo shot over the right field fence in the bottom of the third.
Pride lived off the long ball with a two run blast from Kirsti Merritt in the bottom of the fourth bringing Hallie Wilson in with her. Pride up 0-3.
Back to the wall the Dawgs don’t go down without a fight. Base hits from Christian Stokes, MJ Knighten put two on for Nerissa Myers with two outs. Kayla Winkfield re-enters for Knighten. A base hit to left from Myers scores Winkfield from second. Score is 1-3, Pride up. Grounder from Edwards get the final out, final score Dawgs 1, Pride 3.
