Mallory Whitman is a Lincoln, Nebraska native, where she attended Lincoln East High School from 2010-2014. She was a member of the varsity softball team, as well as concertmistress of the varsity orchestra, a 3x member of the All-State Orchestra, and a member of the Lincoln Youth Symphony.
Whitman is currently pursuing a B.S. in Athletic Training at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she will be a senior in the fall of 2017. As a student athletic trainer, she has worked with the Nebraska football, volleyball, women’s soccer, track and field, and men’s and women’s tennis teams. This coming fall she will have the unique opportunity to work with the Nebraska softball team as their senior athletic training student. In the spring, Whitman will take her Board of Certification exams and become a certified athletic trainer after graduation. In addition to interning with the Dawgs this summer, Whitman also had the opportunity to work as an athletic training intern for USA Baseball at their 18U Tournament of Stars in Cary, NC.
Whitman’s goal is to continue her passion for athletic training as a graduate assistant at a Division I school, ultimately working as a full-time certified athletic trainer for a collegiate softball team. She is the daughter of Del and Julie Whitman.
